This is the About the Author (ATA) that shows in the book flap of my book.
R. Scott Rice grew up in a small Maryland town, where he has an embedded rich family history from the early 1700s. In his books, he falls back on that lineage using one of the family names, Ambrose. His first venture out of town was to attend Georgia Tech. His love of science and technology, initially nurtured by the space program, was formalized at Tech and has influenced his writing style.
With most of his formal education completed, he entered the Air Force and was assigned to their telecommunications, working on what was the early days of the internet. During that time, he held various degrees of security clearances. This gave him a high-level appreciation, even with the limitations put on it, for the strengths and weaknesses of our military’s capabilities. He parlayed that experience to eventually become the executive head of an international engineering group in which he worked with some very interesting people, clients and projects.
Rice loves hearing the stories of people’s lives, often told humbly and without an appreciation for their exceptionalism. He integrates and embellishes these stories into his books as well as the experiences with which he has been blessed. Timelines Intertwined is the first book to be published from those that he has in draft and with continued blessings not the last.
Scott lives in Texas with his loving and supportive wife. His family includes three wonderful adult children, son in law and two grandchildren.
