Shortly before Page agreed to publish my book, I showed the book flap review to one of my best friends in the world, Thomas Michael DuRoss (Tom or Dewey to his many friends). Tom always said, I think jokingly, “If it never happened, not likely to happen or can’t happen then I won’t like it.” When I showed him the summary of this fantasy science fiction, he gave me his look of approval and nod saying, “It’s good.” Turns out it was about the last conversation we had. He died suddenly within a week. I miss celebrating the publication with him but will always remember that look. Right back at you my friend, this book is dedicated to you and all great, wonderful friendships.
